This week (May 24-30, 2025), the operating rates of primary lead smelters in the three provinces rose slightly WoW.

In Henan and Yunnan provinces, there were no significant changes in primary lead production this week. In Hunan province, the operating rates of smelters still increased slightly. The combined operating rate of the three provinces reached 69%, up 1.26 percentage points WoW. Additionally, a smelter in Yunnan province is expected to undergo routine maintenance in mid-June, with a maintenance cycle expected to last 30-40 days. Outside the sample of the three provinces, a smelter in Guangxi province maintained stable production after resuming operations. A smelter in east China underwent routine maintenance, but its primary lead production did not decrease in May. A smelter in north China, originally scheduled for routine maintenance in June, postponed the maintenance to mid-June and is expected to resume operations in mid-July.
